I'd certainly like to see how you're going to run away with a child in your belly!" That night, she could not stop him from having his way with her even though she even passed out from crying. In the days that followed , he completely dropped his caring act. She gave the helicopter's pilot a hefty bribe, hoping that he would find a chance to help her escape. The next day, Jacob broke the pilot's legs and threw the man to the ground in front of her. Glaring furiously at him, she lunged over and bit him harshly on the shoulder.

She fell into such despair that she locked herself up in her room and refused to eat or drink. She cried her eyes out. Jacob entered the room and placed an array of dishes in front of her, then said in a gentle tone, "You're already about to become a mother, so why are you still so wilful?

Be good and eat something." She knocked over the dishes in front of her, sobbing bitterly all the while. "I'm not eating! You've ruined ---- all my plans for the future, Jacob Thornton! I hate you! I'll never forgive you for my entire life!" Jacob struggled to suppress his upset as he cleared up the mess on the floor. While keeping his head down, he expertly peeled her an apple.

"T quite hate myself as well for having to resort to such despicable methods to keep you with me," he said." Without saying a word, Penelope suddenly picked up the knife on the fruit bowl and stabbed it toward his chest without hesitation. "T don't want to eat anything. All I want is to kill you!" The apple in his hand fell to the floor with a thump, just like how his heart plummeted into the abyss. He lowered his gaze to look at the knife in his chest. Big, fat tears rolled down his face.

"Ts being pregnant with my child that hateful and disgusting to you? You clearly loved me so much in the past. You used to look forward to being a mother so eagerly." Blood spurted out of his wound, staining his white shirt red. Penelope stared dazedly at the bloodstained knife in her hand. It took several seconds for her to realize what she had done. She threw the knife away in panic and, while
