---- Chapter 9 Emma quickly wiped away her falling tears. She wasn't sad. Rather, she was ashamed. She gritted her teeth , wanting to go somewhere else. She didn't want to get recognized right now. She was hoping to maintain her last bit of dignity and self- respect. However, as soon as she took a step, June's irritating voice rang out. "Emmy, what are you doing here? Are you here to see Seth?" She spoke loudly , immediately drawing everyone's attention over.

Taking a deep breath, Emma turned around. When the mutual friends who'd said those awful things earlier saw Emma, they suddenly felt a little guilty. On the other hand, Seth remained composed. His indifferent face carried no trace of unnecessary emotion . The moment he saw Emma, his dark and depthless gaze gained a trace of ridicule. ---- Walking over, he immediately pulled June behind him.

He said slowly, "The terms of the custody agreement are still up for negotiation. Emma, the baby inside June's belly will see you as its biological mother. You need to think this through ."
