Seth wanted to be the dominant one in their relationship. He found June, whom he could easily manipulate, and had her conceive his child. He never imagined that she would be so cold and decisive. Emma did not hesitate to put an end to their relationship, which had lasted for more than 20 years. She left without ever looking back. Seth had to admit that Emma became much more radiant and mesmerizing after leaving him. He chuckled bitterly. There was a sorrowful look in his eyes. Suddenly, someone tugged at the hem of his shirt. Seth turned around.

Seth revealed his true intentions . He looked down at her condescendingly. "June, Emma and I have known each other for more than 20 years. What made you think I would fall in love with you instead?" Then, Seth turned his gaze away. He did not notice that June's eyes were burning with rage and malice.

Emma managed to secure the assets she was entitled to. With Vincent's support , she was most likely the next chairman of Burton Group. Since she had settled things here, Emma decided to leave with Vincent. While they were leaving through the front door, no ---- one noticed that June had darted toward the table and picked up a fruit knife. Then, she swiftly stabbed Seth's chest with the knife. Seth did not see that coming. Moreover, he could not move quickly enough because of his disability.

Seth Hunter, you don't deserve to be loved!" By the time they had subdued June, Seth already had an unfocused look in his eyes. People had talked about how one might see flashbacks of their life when they were about to die. The memories Seth had of Emma during the 20 years they had known each other flashed through his mind nonstop. Eventually , it stopped at his memory of the day they got married. Emma stood at the altar in a white dress. She was looking at him shyly yet lovingly.

Emma and Vincent heard the commotion coming from inside the house as they were leaving. Emma halted in her tracks. She furrowed her brows. Vincent asked, "Do you want to go back inside to find out what happened?" It was bright and sunny outside.

The warm sunlight that shone over her body seemed to have cast away the dark emotions inside her. "No." Emma shook her head. Her face broke into a smile. "T want to move forward, and I don't want to look back anymore." Vincent felt a tug at his heart. He could barely conceal the look of longing and affection in his eyes.
