---- 11. And The Morning After At first I thought it was the music which was making the knocking noise, but then I realize it was actually coming from my door. "Oof," I stand up immediately, making me fall down on the carpet rug. "Wait a second!" I call out as I make my way to the door. "Woah," Cammie says, "you've let yourself go a little. " She chuckles, waving a hand over her nose. I must have looked awful since I always did let myself go when I worked.
Not to mention the number of Irish coffees I had. "Uhm, hi." Cameron let herself in, "You didn't come by the coffee house so I decided to come by your place." she turns to me and smiles, "Are you listening to Ellie Goulding? " My face must have been red and now I can imagine it grow redder, "Y-yeah, I liked the album you had. I've been listening to it s-since I woke up." She neared me, a teasing smile on her face, "You are so damn drunk right now, aren't you?" I laughed, "Drunk? No.
I'm tipsy, is all. This isn't even half of what Iam when I'm drunk." I tidied up a bit around the place. "Hmm, I am alittle interested to see what you'd be ---- like drunk." Cameron was circling the place, "Oh yeah, I brought you a cream brulé doughnut." "Really ? Thanks ." I grin at her and she hands me a bag with the doughnut . "You know what, let me go wash up." I took a shower. Shampooed, soaped, and brushed my teeth twice to get rid of the smell.
Peter's words had echoed in my mind while I was taking a shower, was he in any way right? I made extra sure that I smelt fine before I went on out again. To my surprise, Cameron was already asleep on the couch. She must have been so tired all day from lack of sleep. I grabbed a fresh blanket to lay over her. Before I did, I took off her shoes and socks, and fixed her feet on the couch. To think that she was still wearing her uniform made me want to change her clothes all of a sudden.

But that totally would be inappropriate. Instead, I untuck her blouse from her pants and took off her belt. I pulled the blanket over to Cameron just right and dimmed the lights so she wouldn't wake up unnecessarily . To the couch's right, I sat on a green bean bag, just to calmly watch over her. Since I slept all day, I wasn't feeling sleepy at all. So ---- instead , I finished a book with the help of a not-too- bright light, I also ate the doughnut she brought me in the process.
It was eight o'clock when Pete and Tiff finally come home. They were so loud, laughing and making quite aruckus from the door. I stand up quickly and ran to them, "Shhhhh!" I hushed towards them, putting a finger over my lips. "What?" Peter says ever so loudly. It was like flushing the toilet in the middle of the night. "Cammie's asleep on the couch." I tell them calmly. "What?" Tiff asks in a hush. "Look, Cammie only had two hours of sleep last night before she went to work this morning.
She came by this afternoon because I couldn't stop by the coffee house like I said I would, she brought a cream brulé doughnut for me and all. She must have been so tired so she fell asleep on the couch." I explained to them. "Well, alright." Peter says, ''Tomorrow is Sunday, her day off, make sure she gets plenty of rest. Okay?" Inod towards him. "We can go crash at Pete's place, right babe?" Tiff directs to Peter, which he nods to.
"I just need to get something , why don't you go wait in the car." Pete does as he is told, but before he goes, he wishes me good luck. I went inside the living room where Cammie was still ---- thankfully asleep. Tiff follows me and surprisingly nudges me with her elbow, "What the hell are you doing?" "Peter is so right!" She was smiling so widely and I found it odd that she'd be doing so at a time like this.
" I can't believe I owe him fifty bucks and a foot massage." My jaw nearly dropped, "W-wait, are you saying Peter's right about-" "Yeah, it's so damn obvious, Gail. God, maybe if you told me all of what happened last night, I mean, something similar to this gesture, then I think I would have sided with Peter all along and not make a bet!" Tiff says, her hush tone was getting louder. "Okay.
Keep telling yourself that." I give her the look, "But, do you really think she might be into me like Pete said?" Tiff nodded, "But don't tell Pete I said that." She gave mea hug and went on out to the car. I sat myself down the bean bag again, watching as her chest rise and fall as she slept peacefully. I think my feelings for this woman had quadruple without me even knowing it.
