---- Chapter 17 Shocked, Nadia stiffly looked up after a while, taking in Theodore's pale yet smiling face. His gaze was tender, as if she was the only one he could see. Noticing that she wasn't responsive, he shook his head helplessly. He then propped himself up to sit on the bed and asked, "Why are you in a daze?" Just then, Nadia's tears started falling out of nowhere. Theodore immediately started panicking . "What's wrong? Why are you crying?

Are you feeling unwell?" He quickly pulled her into his embrace, gently patting her back as he waited for her to calm down. She only spoke once her sobs gradually faded away. "I'm not unwell , Theo. I'm just afraid that I'll lose you again. Do you know how much I missed you while you were unconscious, Theo?" Nadia said. "I almost... gave up on living.

Do you know how much I really wanted to die with you once I found out what happened to you?" "Hey, stop saying ominous things." Theodore quickly tilted her face up and reached out to wipe her tears away. "I'm sorry for worrying you, Nadia. I promise I won't leave you alone anymore, okay?" Caesar watched the scene unfold from outside the ---- hospital ward. He was filled with intense jealousy.

During the past 10 years Nadia had trailed after him, he had seen many sides of her-humble, in pain, numb. But it wasn't until he saw her in front of Theodore that he suddenly realized something -he had never seen this side of her, where she would wholeheartedly rely on him. Bitterness crept up as Caesar wondered why and started recalling the past. Nadia had never been given the same respect in front of him.

Even after he agreed to her confession , she was never truly seen as his girlfriend by him or his friends. To them, she was more like a plaything -one they could call on and push away whenever they pleased. They ridiculed her without a second thought. Caesar stood in front of the door for the longest time, torturing himself as he watched them hugging tearfully and sharing their feelings with each other.

His eyes burned with frustration as he watched Theodore, who was no longer able to contain his emotions, lean over to kiss away Nadia's tears in the hospital ward. Only then did he tear his eyes away and leave. Theodore's parents, Harriet Camden and Lilac Prodd, ---- rushed over to the hospital on the same day. They were overcome with tears of joy when they saw him awake.

Several doctors examined him, and after reviewing the final examination report, they were surprised to find that his organs, which had previously started to fail, all but recovered to a perfectly healthy state. They couldn't help but marvel at the results. "Could those medications really have such a miraculous effect?" One of the doctors kept flipping through the reports in puzzlement. Another doctor laughed when he heard those words. " What nonsense are you talking about?

These aren't new medications . We've been using them countless times, and this is the first time something like this has happened. Instead of calling it the miracle of medicines, I'd say it's more of a miracle of love. "You better treat your girlfriend and parents well, young man. They were the ones who took care of you tirelessly when you were unconscious." "T will." Theodore smiled and nodded. He held Nadia's hand tightly in his own as he turned to look at Harriet and Lilac.

"I want to marry Nadia soon, Mom, Dad." Both of them nodded in agreement. "Of course! We'll start planning for the wedding as soon as we get back. ---- " Nadia wasn't expecting Theodore to suddenly talk about marriage in front of everyone else. Her eyes widened as her face turned red. She looked away and muttered , "Who said I'm going to marry you? You haven't even proposed properly! I'm not going to just agree to it casually like that!"
