---- Chapter 22 Caesar left, leaving Nadia staring anxiously at the metal chain attached to the foot of the bed. She couldn't tell the time now, and she wondered if Theodore and his parents had noticed that she went missing . They must have been worried sick having something like this happen right before the wedding. Nadia tugged at the metal chain. She then tried walking around, the chain making a clattering sound as it dragged across the floor.

It was long enough for her to move around in the room. It seemed like Caesar hadn't intended to restrict her movement in the room, but after searching for a while, she realized there was nothing in the room other than several large pieces of furniture. The windows were too high; she had to stand on tiptoes just to barely reach them. They were also sealed shut, making it impossible for them to escape from there.

Nadia slapped her forehead in frustration, wondering why she hadn't noticed that Caesar had this side to him back then. With this happening now, she had no idea when Theodore would come looking for her. ---- Nadia could only judge the passing days by the color of the sky without a clock. Three sunrises and sunsets, with constant three meals per day-all personally delivered and fed by Caesar. Caesar was no longer alone when he returned on the fourth day. Behind him was an entire team of people.

Someone wheeled in a whole row of wedding dresses, each looking delicate and luxurious. They were all clearly worth a fortune. "Pick any that you like, Nadia," Caesar said while smiling happily. Nadia stared at the row of wedding dresses. It finally dawned on her that he was serious in wanting to marry her. She pursed her lips and ignored his words. Instead , she asked, "You weren't well-liked in the Gray family, so where did your money come from?" Caesar remained smiling.

He noticed that Nadia wasn't looking at the dresses and began choosing for her. He inspected each dress before settling on a strapless wedding dress. "Are you concerned about me, Nadia? Don't worry, I have enough money to take care of you." She was rendered speechless , yet he wasn't upset at ---- all. He then turned around and got someone to help her into the dress. Nadia was guided to sit in front of the vanity after she got changed into the wedding dress.

A stylist then began to work on her hair and makeup. It didn't take long for her to be dolled up. No one spoke a word throughout the entire process. After all, it was also the team of stylists' first time seeing a client bound by chains. Once everything was done, they hurried away, leaving the two of them in the room. Caesar unlocked the chain and held Nadia's hand, guiding her out. She struggled against him, yet she couldn't break free from his hold. "Where are you taking me?" she asked.

Caesar did not answer her question . He only turned around to look at her. "You'll know when we're there." Nadia was shoved into the car, and the scenery outside blurred as they drove. They soon arrived at their destination-a grand cathedral. The cathedral was decorated lavishly , with flowers and diamonds nearly covering the floor. Aside from the lone priest and the absence of guests, it looked no different from a real wedding. Nadia grew more anxious when she saw what was ---- happening.

"I've told you that I don't like you, Caesar. I don't want to marry you either, so why are you doing this to me?" She struggled to escape, yet she failed to break free. Nadia saw the sadness and brokenness in Caesar's eyes. With reddening eyes and a forced smile, he said, "Forgive me, Nadia. Just let me be selfish this once." He led her to stand in front of the priest and nodded for him to begin. The priest started with the ceremony, skipping most of it while ignoring her reluctance.

He said, "The bride and groom may now exchange the " Before the priest could finish his sentence, the door to the cathedral flung open suddenly. Someone rushed in from the outside and soon landed a punch on Caesar's face.
