---- Chapter 21 Nadia began to notice she was running into Caesar more and more lately. He no longer waited outside her house, yet somehow he was everywhere -when she went out for meals , walks, dates, and even on the way to scout for wedding venues. The encounters were so often that even Theodore realized something was off. With a frown, he discreetly hid Nadia behind him, blocking her from Caesar's sight. Theodore gave him a wary gaze.
"Since you're here to check out wedding venues , does that mean we'll be hearing about your wedding soon? I haven't heard anything about it from the Grays though." The system had assigned Caesar the identity of an illegitimate son of a wealthy family who was recently brought back to Sunsettia City. He wasn't favored by the family and had no access to the core interests.
As such, he was known as the powerless and insignificant illegitimate son that most of the people in their circle looked down on. Having grown accustomed to the cold treatment, Caesar wasn't offended by Theodore's behavior . He ---- simply turned his gaze away naturally and smiled." It's not for me-it's for my older brother." He did not offer any further explanation, so Theodore merely nodded before taking Nadia's hand and leading her to another direction.

Caesar had lost count of the times he'd watched them walk away in just one week alone. He'd initially thought he could endure it, that he could look the other way, as long as she was happy. But suddenly, he realized that he couldn't be that magnanimous. The wedding of the oldest son of the Gray family was just a cover. Caesar was the one who was actually planning for a wedding. He turned around and looked at the staff member , who was waiting by the side.
He casually tossed a card over and said, "Get me the best and most expensive one." Nadia wasn't expecting to be meeting Caesar again so soon-much less in his villa. She rubbed her temples, feeling somewhat disoriented . Hadn't she just finished her date with Theodore and already reached her doorstep ? Where was she now? ---- Nadia looked up and saw Caesar, who was smiling softly as he sat by the bedside. It took her a while to realize that he had abducted her here.
"Are you crazy?" Her eyes went wide, and her voice was filled with disbelief. She instinctively reached for her phone to get help, but she couldn't find anything in all her pockets. There was only a metal chain on her wrist, keeping her bound. Stunned , Nadia started looking around and noticed the sealed windows. "Don't be afraid , Nadia. I'll release you after we get married." Caesar's gaze was tender, yet there was no room for discussion.
He reached out to caress her cheek, feeling a trace of longing and nostalgia rising as he felt her supple skin. As expected, Caesar just had to keep Nadia by his side. Nadia backed away and avoided his touch. She had a complicated look in her eyes. She didn't expect him to turn out like this. She exhaled deeply and tried to keep herself calm and negotiate with him. "Do you know what you're doing is against the law, Caesar?
I'll pretend nothing ever happened if you release me now." Unfortunately, Caesar refused to cooperate. He remained seated , lowering his eyes slightly as he ---- looked at Nadia. The light above him cast a shadow over him, making it difficult to read his expression . After a while, Caesar withdrew his arm that was left hanging in the air. He sighed and said, "But I don't care, Nadia. Our wedding wasn't completed back then. I promised to marry you, so I don't want to go back on my word.
"Didn't you say that you only wanted to havea wedding with me, and you don't need anything else? I'll tell you now-it's the same for me." But unlike Nadia, who only wanted to marry Caesar just to complete her mission, he wanted to marry her because he loved her.
