---- Chapter 19: Thanks to Johny Alice's POV "Eat.", Sev said. The dining area where we were having our breakfast was quite big for us. Of course, there were another three males crowding the table but still, the room can occupy maybe a hundred others. To say the atmosphere was awkward was an understatement. Well, between Sev and I, that was the case, while the others, they've been digging on their plate like soldiers. "Eat, Alice", Sev repeated, now, with much authority.

He was sitting on the head of the table, the man I knew. Until now, I feel betrayed by them. When Seth told me the truth, I felt used, well-played. I was angry at them but it faded along with time and the sincerity Seth showed me when I was with him. I was the first person to know what he was going through. He became my dearest friend and on the time when the one coming home to me was Sev, I fell in love with him even more. And now, we both held secrets from each other.

"You don't like the food?", my train of thoughts were cut. I glanced at the man who spoke. One of the two men in my mind just now. I shook my head and started eating. Sev watched me, his eyes remained on ---- the way I moved to have my breakfast. "No.", I said quietly . Slowly picking up my spoon, I watched my hands like they were never my own. My reathing felt calculated and I was too afraid to make any sound as much as I was afraid to make any mistake.

I started with the soup, then everything on my plate. They all looked delectable but they somehow tasted bland on my tongue. I couldn't even feel the food filling up my stomach. "Is there something wrong?", Sev made all stopped with his question . It became more awkward . Biting my lower lip, I shook my head, "Fuck!", I heard him whispered and his chair scraped on the floor. His footsteps echoed as he had gone away from the dining hall. No one made a sound again.

But the uncomfortable feeling of someone's eyes watching me was heavy so I turned my head to see the man they call Maxx owning those pair. "What?", asked him, he just turned back eating shaking his head a little. After some time, one by one, they started to leave the table while I still eaten not much of my food. There was a lot on my mind and the chilling scene from last night, on the basement couldn't leave me. I couldn't even get myself to sleep properly.

I didn't know what bother me the most about the secrets we had. What I knew? Or is it what I still don't know? Maybe those I don't want to know. "You thinking deeply while having a meal in the ---- morning is not good, you know", startled, the empty dining room, not empty really , Maxx was alone with me. "T-I'm not thinking of anything , I'm just not in the mood and didn't get enough sleep" He raised his brow at me in a mocking way. I rolled my eyes. "What are you still doing here?

Don't you have work to do or something?" "What work are we talking about?", he leaned on the table studying me, I got nervous. "T-I don't know. I just ask you 'cause you look like you don't plan on having one today. What do you do by the way?", I feigned innocence and reached for the glass of water to drink. Until I placed my glass back on the table, he was just watching my every move, and I was having an inside panic. "Stop staring!" He just smiled. "As for my work, I work Se-... 1 mean Seth.

He's my boss. I follow orders. All of us here" Orders? Like kill people? "You okay? You suddenly went...pale", I swallowed hard and he was still smiling. It seemed like he was enjoying the situation and he probably knew I knew something . This was the kind of person I should be cautious of. "T want to see my brother", I stood and gulped the remaining drops of water on my glass.
