---- "Sweet", he smiled after saying that. "It's time, let's go" He held my hand gently and guided me outside the door. The hallway was silent and we were, too. The silence made me more nervous than I already was. There was a lot of things running through my mind now. After a few more steps, I could see the stairs and when we step right into it, and walk down, I would see him. After not seeing him in actual for two years. After waiting for him to come back.

After waiting for him at change his mind. And after I got nothing. My feet felt heavy. There was the first stair step I need to take to walk down. "You're shaking", one of his hands travelled to my small back. I could feel its callousness even with the clothes I was wearing. And he was right. I was trembling. "Do you want to go back? Don't worry about the guests, I will just announce that my fiancée is having a cold feet, feeling coward", he smirked at me arrogantly.

If what he was saying was a complete stupidity to annoy me, I would surely retaliate with my own award-winning comment. His smirk the turned into an amusement. "You are actually scared, Alice", his eyes were almost twinkling from the enjoyment he was having while looking at me. The loud music barely reached my ear because I could hear my own heartbeat . It was loud ---- like a drum with thousands of speakers on.

And if I would dare myself to look at my chest part, I would actually see it vibrate from it. "Why are you scared, hmm? Because of him? Well, that's funny". He chuckled. "Tt's not funny. You're just sick in the head", I gritted my teeth and breathed many times. Without any consideration of how I was feeling, he stepped down the stairs and of course he dragged me with him.

For other people who can see us from below, it would appear as if he was gently guiding me down but the truth was far from that. It was never with this brute. Glasses began clinking with spoon, and everyone began clapping. Not a long while, they even threw us their congratulations. I did not even heard our names being called because I was busy composing myself. It's been years. "Congratulations", and there he was. Greeting me on my own engagement.

His feature became more prominent with manly edges. He looked darker. There was no glint on his eyes, they appeared empty. They were blank. And he looked like not the same man I have loved throughout these years. The man I couldn't move on from. "Sev", it was a whisper and he chose to ignore it. He took his brother's hand who was standing close ---- beside me, with his arms around my waist like a loving fiancé. "Brother. My fiancée is lovely, isn't she?", Seth asked.

At last, Sev's eyes found mine and I could tell well that I was in fact still in love with him. "Yes", Sev answered his brother with coldness directed at me. He gulped his wine with one swift movement of his throat. "You'll be our best man, alright?", it sounded innocent and happy but I knew better when it came from Seth. He was testing things to aflame. "Why the fucking not?", Sev smirked and raised his empty glass on us. "I would love to". He then turned his back on us and walked away.

I watched him do that thinking how wonderful my life is. And I want my Sev back.
