---- Chapter 25: Plan Maxx's POV It has been days since Sev's father took a visit and from then on, everyone could tell there was something wrong. For one, Alice was taken away, Dean was furious and he had a huge fight with Sev whom did not have any intention to say anything. Sev's eyes became lifelessly dangerous. It felt like eggshells had been scattered all around the floor on the whole mansion and everyone was expected to take careful steps when they were in here.

"Sev's father had done it real bad now", Herschel whistled. He should be in Spain yesterday but orders had been changed , he would be staying with us for now. The man was crazy who had the only guts to laugh out loud even when the situation seemed out of control. Herschel tool the high chair by the kitchen counter and drank a full glass of water. His shirt has stains of blood. "Where have you been?", Jep asked, like everyone else, he took no good sleep. His hair was a mess.

"Hunting", Herschel replied. There was a pause before he proceeded talking about his opinion of what was happening to Sev. "Taking his woman was a bad move but a wise move on his father's side. The ---- monster awakens" "That bad?", Jep opened the refrigerator . I saw him got three eggs. "It's not bad... It's nightmare. Two straight days and we were out there hunting for people, taking them down with their entire men and entire family. No exceptions . Innocent or not", the room fell silent.

I did not know how to react. We were used to killing people, firing guns but we were never asked to kill innocents. The thought of it was dreading, we all knew what it felt like to kill someone and have your conscience eat you after. "You killed them?", I asked him not wanting any other answer than a 'no'. To my relief he shook his head but his eyes were telling us something not good. "Sev did" linhaled sharply.

"Ouch!" , I saw Jep struggling with cooking the fried eggs, he must been surprised by the bomb Herschel just dropped. "Sev did not want us to meddle with dealing with innocent but related family members of the target. He deals with them alone. Those were like big names and syndicates so doing the job is not easy" "He's fucking sacrificing again", I ran hand on my hair because of the frustration I've felt.

If killing ---- someone who was not innocent would make you eaten by your conscience, then killing innocents would probably killing yourself a hundred times and you would go crazy. We heard the front door opened and footsteps followed. Sev's team came in with him walking briskly and undoubtedly would go straight on his room. That had become his routine.

After his father left the other day, I found him on his study with bloody hands, shreds of papers and pieces of broken vases were all over the floor. There were gun holes on the wall, his shelves of book fell sidewards , the desk was not in a good condition too, and we had to replace everything . And then the next day, he appeared like another person. "He's scary", another voice came in. It was Ralph. It was decided he would not stay on the basement but was not permitted to go outside.

"They've got another five people to torture later", he informed us. His gaze directed at me because he knew I would be there. My presence was constantly asked to be seen there whenever we asked for whatever information we needed to end all of this. "Does this end if we already killed the four persons on the list?", Jep was now eating his fried eggs. We looked at each other and every one of us did not have any answer for his question.
