---- people in an instant or had a bullet at my body but never on this. It was a torture not to know how to help her even if I wanted it so bad. "You have to eat, Alice". But she paid no attention to everything. Her eyes was so lifeless that I had to check the monitor beside me to make sure she was still breathing. That she was still with me. "Here", I raised the spoon near her mouth. Minutes have passed when I remained on my position until 1 could feel my arms hurt.

"Alice...", I called her again but my panic started to build up when her eyes welled up with tears. I cursed firmly, put the bowl down, and sat beside her bed to hug her. "Shhh", I tried to calm her and tightened my hold. Her sobs became louder. She was not hysteric as when she first woke up from the trauma but her cries were more painful . Definitely more painful . It struck my heart like someone was squeezing it. There was a big lump on my throat, I couldn't breathe.

By every second, it became louder. I felt her own arms slowly wrapping around. They were clinging to my shirt like she needed strength to let it all out. I let her. This was the least I could do. For aman termed fearless , I fear now I would lose her. I don't want to lose her. Ad even when her tears started to dry up, I kept her ---- between my arms. "Thank you", her voice was the sweetest. I didn't mind how broken it sounded or how silent it was.

"Do not thank me", I couldn't afford to hear her say those things. Her thank you was a slap at me. It was my fault she had experienced what she had. I promised to keep her safe yet she was taken away from me. She was hurt. "T-I can't feel my legs and my feet", she buried her face deeper on my chest. I breathed. "T'm sorry" "T can't walk", she cried again. It was heartbreaking . "We are going to find a way", I hated myself when I hear how promising it was.

But if I have to sweep the world to make it happen, or call devils or any gods, I would. She fell asleep again, exhausted with all her crying. I called her guards to keep posted at the door and outside the window. "You have to see, this", it was Maxx. I was on my way to the basement but he stopped me saying it was important. I almost fire a gun on him 'cause what could be any more important than killing Ralph? Chamomile was standing beside him looking unafraid.

"What-" The girl almost blinded me with the light of the tablet ---- when she put it in front of my face. I grabbed it harshly that I heard her saying "ouch". I did not care at all. "What the hell is this?!", I growled. My mind going messier by the footage fucking with it now. "That's Ralph. The first man on the footage. He was seen tailing John and Alice", I glared at the images." Then here", she clicked into another camera angle, " was the actual kidnapping of your girlfriend".

Anger quickly eaten up my saved patience . The way men dragged Alice and one man slapped her for her to lose consciousness after a bullet hit John on his chest was a nightmare. Ralph took a grip on Alice arm but someone slammed a gun on his nape falling into the same state as Alice. He was shot at his chest and left there like John. The video was then cut. Ismashed my fist at the wall. "WHO THE HELL WAS THAT?!", I roared like a wild mad animal. I saw Maxx and the girl flinched.

No one answered which only heightened resentment to whoever that was. "No one knew but Ralph". With that, I almost run to where the man was sitting with bruises on his face sitting on the chair. Tightly roped. All heads snapped at me. I pick the gun and ---- pointed it at him. "Talk" His face showed no fear. I smirked and shot his left leg. Blood came out from his wound but he did not move or change his expression. "I don't have time for this. Talk now" "Tt was your father" And I fired another shot.
