---- Again Ashly pushed open Alex's office door and took a deep breath, tapping her knuckles gently on the frosted glass as she entered. She knows what she is doing; she has already booked her flight ticket. Tomorrow she is going back to her hometown. Her baby is missing her, and Ashly wants this sh*t to be over soon. She doesn't want Alex to know about their son, not her son.
Adom is only Ashly's son; Ashly is the one who gave him birth, and Ashly is the one who fulfills both parents responsibilities. No Ashly is not selfish ; she already told Adom about Alex-not everything , of course. She doesn't want to break her baby's precious heart. Ashly caught sight of Alex, her ex-mate, at his desk and smiled. The Alpha glanced up briefly when he heard Ashly come in. She smiled back, but he didn't get up from whatever he was doing at his computer. Looks like he is busy.
It's ok. Maybe it's the last time he sees Ashly after this. They're never going to meet again. She doesn't know about Alex, but she will never move on from him. ---- Maybe it's easy for Alex; Ashly really didn't believe him when Alex told her about him being single. She know Alex since school, Alex maybe waiting for his fated mate but he enjoy his youth. How can Ashly believe him being single if he really is single, if he really doesn't have anyone, and if he really loves Ashly?

Then why the hell did he leave her? Why the hell didn't he come back? It's not like Ashly didn't try; she tried to contract him for many years, but Alex never responded, and on top of that, his brother messaged Ashly to leave him alone. Sam.. That fucker... Ashly really wants to beat the sh*t out of him; she really doesn't know exactly what happened between him and her sister, but she always heard sobbing coming to Monika's bedroom.
She knows her sister always cries in sleep; her sister is always a crying baby, but now she stops crying in front of anyone. Ashly never tries to ask her because she knows Monika is not ready. She and Monika never talk about their ex-mates. ---- But she is really happy to have Monika; Monika really takes good care of Adom, and she loves Adom more than anyone, even more than Ashly. "What are you thinking?" Ashly snapped back to reality when she heard Alex's voice.
"Huh?" Alex chuckled and shook his head. "You are spacing out." Ashly smiled at him and bit her lips. "Oh nothing, I am just hungry." "Yea, yea, I know," Alex smiles once again. If Ashly doesn't know about the real Alex, she really thinks he is in love with her, which is a total lie. "Is the food here?" Ashly asked as she stepped into Alex's office, letting the door close behind her. She is really excited for food. Well, Ashly loves food. Not more than her baby, of course.
Alex nodded towards the coffee table across from his desk, where a takeaway bag sat waiting for his mate. He ordered Ashly's favorite food. "Just let me finish up this email, and I'll join you. You can enjoy your food; it's all your favorite. "Uh!" Ashly smiled at the food and agreed with a nod. ---- She hopped over to his lunch and plunked herself down excitedly on the couch to go through the bag. As she'd suspected , Alex knew exactly what she'd like. Well, Ashly's taste is still the same.
Casting a tender glance at the man, who was still distractedly typing away, Ashly opened his fried rice. She took his first bite, moaning in a purposefully delighted tone and waiting for Alex's reaction. The Alpha was still focused on his work, but a tiny curl appeared in the corner of his lip. Ashly patted the space on the couch next to her. "You work too hard; come eat." "If I didn't work so hard, we'd both be in trouble, hm? Alex let out an amused huff and shook his head.
"One minute," he uttered, still typing away. Ashly pouted and went back to stabbing at her lunch with a set of chopsticks . She was happily munching away, but she barely got a few bites in when a burn clenched in her stomach. It shot through her like an electric shock, causing a shiver to ripple through her entire body. Ah! Ashly gasped. A long, hissing breath slipped out through gritted teeth as she curled forward over her knees. Slamming her chopsticks down on the table, she groaned. "Damn it." "Hey, Ashly, what happened ?" Alex glanced up from
