---- Moving in Everything is going well in Ashly and Alex's lives. They fell into something of a rhythm, going to work together during the week, coming home and having dinner with Adom, and putting him to bed. On the weekends, they had family time and took Adom to the park, the aquarium, or just to the grocery store with them. It had been so easy to insert himself into their lives. Alex was almost afraid that he was dreaming, and when he woke up, he'd be on the other side of the world again.
But every time he woke up now, Ashly was beside him in bed, usually curled up in Alex's arms and drooling against his chest. It's really felt so good. It was a fantastic way to wake up. The company merger was nearly finished, as Alex and Ashly planned. Alex had tentative plans to step down as CEO if he could convince Ashly to take him on as a personal assistant. So far, Ashly thought the idea was ridiculous, but Alex was fairly confident he could talk her around.
And he really wants to be around his mate all the time. He shuffled into the living room with a cup of coffee to find Ashly on the couch reading something , which ---- was obviously an invitation. He abandoned the coffee in favor of tugging a pillow into Ashly's lap and lying down. He is really tired, and Ashly Lap is the best place. "What are you doing?" Ashly asked, lifting her work file to look down at her mate with raised eyebrows . "Resting," Alex said with a pout.

But then he couldn't quite manage to hide his smirk, so his innocent act was immediately ruined. Ashly hummed thoughtfully. "And why are you doing ithere?" "It looked comfy," Alex murmured , closing his eyes. Ashly sighed and said something very fast that her mate didn't catch. When Alex cracked an eye open, Ashly was smiling. "What?" Alex asked while raising his eyebrow. "Nothing," Ashly said, and she put her hand over Alex's eyes to block out the morning light.
"Go to sleep." Alex made a soft noise of agreement and resolved to do just that. Ashly shook her head. Her mate is really like a five - year-old child. They didn't get long before Adom's careful, shuffling steps echoed down the stairway. He was still sleepy, ---- clutching a stuffed penguin in one hand, the other rubbing at his eyes. "Mum, Dad?" he mumbled.
Alex held his arms out, and Adom came over and crawled onto the couch, curling up against his dad's chest and appearing to go back to sleep immediately. Alex carded his fingers through his wispy hair and marveled, yet again, at what he had. Out of nowhere, Ashly asked, "Do you ever think about having more kids?" Alex glanced up at her and saw that she was watching Adom. "I think I'm still reeling from finding out about this one," he replied, keeping his voice low for Adom's sake.
"But at some point ? Yeah, I think I''d like that. What about you?" Ashly hummed and started to trace the line of Alex's eyebrows with one elegant finger. She'd set her magazine aside. "Before , I thought Adom was more than enough. But with you, another one might be nice. But of course we need to know what Adom. wants; I don't want him to feel neglected. If he is okay with another brother or sister, then it's ok with me." Alex wiggled his eyebrows suggestively and got swatted in the forehead.
He pouted excessively until Ashly bent to kiss it better. "So you should get around to that proposal one of these days, Alex."
