---- Hangout Sebestian and Allen greeted Alex stiffly when they got to the bar. They looked at Alex like they were just waiting for him to run off again. But Alex had gone to his apartment that afternoon and packed a bag to take to Ashly's house. They were calling it a trial run for now, but he had hope that it would become permanent as soon as Ashly was comfortable with that. He wasn't going to run. Nothing could make Alex leave his family behind again.

But of course, no one is going to believe him. Well, it's not like Alex wants everyone to believe him either ; for him, only two people matter: himself and his mate. But of course Alex knows how important Sebestian and Allen are to Ashly. They are like family to her; they are with her in her most critical time. When she delivers their baby, she cries alone. Sebestian and Allen have her back, so they deserve an answer from Alex.

Alex was on his way back to their table with some drinks when he heard Sebestian say, '"Now you're saying you don't want revenge?" "What's the point?" Ashly replied, and Alex could almost hear her shrug. "It's not like he did it on ---- purpose. He doesn't have a choice, Seb; his own grandfather and father manipulate him; his mother is sick; and many more things.

Alex imagined that Sebestian would have more to say about Alex being stupid and ass, but he had to step back and take a moment to breathe. He hadn't realized he was worried that Ashly might still be tricking him until he heard it denied. She loves me, he told himself, blinking hard. She wouldn't have let me near Adom if she wasn't serious.

Another deep breath, and then Alex squared his shoulders and returned to the table, passing Allen on the way up. The topic of conversation had moved on by the time he was within earshot again, and Ashly smiled when she saw Alex approaching. She had mayonnaise on the corner of her mouth, and Alex had swiped it up with his thumb and then licked it off before he realized what he was doing. Ashly just thanked him, but Sebestian looked somewhere between dumbstruck and offended.

"You two," he muttered , shaking his head. He got up and turned away, apparently so he didn't have to look at them. Alex forgot about him the next moment because Ashly was offering him a bite of food. Alex smiled and ---- accepted it, his inner alpha giving a pleased rumble at being fed by his mate. Ashly's answering smile was just as sappy, her face bright. Ashly looks happy and healthy; her cold eyes have been replaced with soft ones again. She looks like the most happy woman alive on earth.

Well, Alex is the only happy man alive on earth. He has a beautiful mate who loves him and gives him a second chance. Even Alex hurt her more than anyone, and he got an adorable son who is an exact copy of his mate. Ashly's father , Adom, is really happy today; that is what he wants for his daughter. Even Sebestian had apparently accepted that they were back together . His cottony scent was mild and pleasant, despite his apparent exasperation with the way they were mooning over each other.

He sat back down after a moment and finished off his drink." Where the hell did Allen get off to?" he muttered, glancing back over the railing. "Seriously , Iam sure she is chatting with someone else; she is really good at making conversation." Ashly chuckles when she sees Sebestian pouting. "Or maybe beating someone?" Alex asks, which makes Sebestian look towards him. "Oh, she is not like that, or we are not like that now.
