---- Moments "Do you think my dad is still downstairs?" Ashly asked lazily, nuzzling at Alex's shoulder. She was really not happy when she learned about Man visiting them. Even Ashly told him last time to stay away from her and her family. But of course he is not going to listen to her, and on top of that, he doesn't want Adom to know about the tension between them. He really loves Man and for him, Man is the coolest grandpa.

She really doesn't want to take away her son's happiness just because of her anger toward him. But she also can't forgive him; Ashly really doesn't understand what she is going to do with Man and how she will make Adom understand about their not-so- good relationship. "Dunno ," Alex mumbled , and he got a mouthful of wispy hair for his effort.

He lifted his head a bit and added, "I might've made him mad, you know; I said to him something that is actually not good for his ears." "Mm, I'll let him stew a bit longer, then, and I hope you keep fighting everyone who tries to come between our happy family," Ashly said, and she deftly scooted back down the bed, tugging Adom with him. Adom was giggling between them, but he rested his head on Ashly's stomach and let Alex stroke his hair. It was warm and smelled like family , and Alex was very, very tired. He fell asleep with another vague mumble still on his lips. He was happy to fight for his family and their happiness , and he did the same thing over and over again. He will make all of them understand that no one can come between the three of them now.

They caused them enough pain in the past, but he and Ashly are the ones who decide their present and future. He woke groggily after what had to have been too few hours of sleep. There was bright sunlight coming in the window, and he was alone in the bed, but Ashly was standing beside it, buttoning a suit jacket. It looked strange, but it took Alex's half-awake brain a few moments to determine why: the jacket was too wide for Ashly's narrow shoulders and sagged around her torso.

She also wasn't wearing a shirt beneath it. "Hey, that's mine," Alex complained like a child. Well, he is really Adom dad; pouting and complaining is really his thing. Ashly's stepfather would never harm his grandchild, but from what Ashly had said some days ago and what her stepfather did to them, the man also wasn't particularly good with them, but again, he really loved Adom.
