---- Back together Alex has always been the type of person who prefers to keep his feelings on the downlow. His feelings regarding everything in his life are intense. He wouldn't say that he isn't intense because the fire that burns in his chest every time he looks at Ashly is very intense. He prefers to show his feelings subtly, preferring to come off as casual and easy-going as if nothing affects him.
At this moment, however, when he's pressed close to Ashly, so close that he can smell his mate's scent every time he breathes, so close that Alex can hear the steady and soothing beating of his Ashly heart, Alex doesn't want to be subtle. He really misses all of this, but now that he is okay, everything is okay. There is no purpose in being subtle anymore. Now that he already has Ashly back in his arms, he has no plans to be subtle.
He wants to shower Ashly with all his affections , though hopefully not so much to the point that Ashly feels suffocated and can no longer stand him. "Alex," Ashly whispers. Ashly's voice sounds so soft; his feelings are audible in it. Alex doesn't want to ruin the moment, so he presses closer instead, legs tangled together. He pulls Ashly even closer, his chest against Ashly's back, his ---- arms around Ashly's waist, and his lips against his mate's neck.
"What are you doing?" Ashly asks, confused as to why his mate hugs him tighter. Alex only hums in reply. His lips mapped the line of Ashly's neck. "That tickles, you know," Ashly says. Alex still keeps his silence , and his hand moves gently and slowly to caress Ashly's chest. "Alex..." Ashly says again, whining this time. "What are you doing?" "T just want to touch you," Alex answers, his voice coming out a little rough.

Ashly laughs a little, and Alex didn't even know that he could fall any deeper for the woman lying in his arms. "Tch," Ashly mocks, though the tone of her voice is soft. "So clingy." Alex hums, his fingers still trailing along Ashly's side. I still can't believe you're mine. I just want to touch you. The woman in his arms turns around to look at him. Ashly's eyes are gentle, and the corners of her lips turn upward, forming a smile.
This expression is for Ashly's eyes only, making his insides tingle from the ---- overwhelming affection he feels for Ashly. "Tam yours, dummy," Ashly says. Alex doesn't really hear her. Instead, he knows the words from watching his partner's lips. And he leans in closer. The need to feel Ashly's lips against his suddenly overtakes him. But he stops when those lips let out a sigh, when the smile disappears and turns into a frown. Alex moves his gaze to Ashly's eyes.
He thinks he sees sadness there. But why? Did he just make Ashly sad? "Ashly, baby...,"" Alex starts. "What is it?" Ashly sighs again. "I was just thinking..." Alex keeps his eyes on Ashly, letting his love know that he's listening and waiting for her to continue. "about you coming back to my and Adom's lives." I'm just... Iam happy for me and for my Adom, oh sorry, I mean our Adom."Ashly trails off. He turns away from Alex, not letting him see her expression .
"Hey, Ashly," Alex says, taking his mate's hands in his and cradling them between his own as he would something fragile. The charms of their couple bracelets knock together , accompanying the sounds of Ashly's little sniffles . 'Tell me," he tells Ashly. " Ashly baby, please." "I just felt like I haven't liked you enough, and I haven't gotten the chance to show you how grateful I am to have someone like you in my life.
Even before ---- we were mates, we wasted seven years of our lives , and it's because of our own family." Alex pauses, swallowing. "Even before we became friends, you were the driving force who has always motivated me to become better because I didn't want to lose to you." Ashly laughs a little, her voice a little rough. "I didn't want to lose you again, Alex; I can't lose to Alex.
I repeated those words like a mantra every morning before I went to work, before I did anything." Alex stares at Ashly, trying to take in every word that his friend says. His hands unconsciously gripped Ashly tighter , perhaps wanting to keep someone as precious as Ashly even closer. "T have never...,"" Ashly continues.
"I have never liked anyone as much as I like you, not even Allen, and I'm so, so fucking scared, because every day my feelings only get deeper and that you won't be here for me to cherish, and I just...,"" she pauses, eyes blinking rapidly to fight away the shiny tears in her eyes. "I just wish we had more time in the past." "Ashly..." Alex whispers. He slowly pulls Ashly in, hugging her close. His hand rubs circles on Ashly's back, trying to calm her down. Alex has never been good with words.
He doesn't express his feelings the way Ashly does, so he picks his words carefully and says, "I wish we had more time too, and I'm so sorry that I didn't contract your love. I am sorry I let others run with our beautiful relationship, but Ashly..."
