She laces his fingers with Sam, clings to his arm, and tugs her chin on his shoulder. She refers to Sam as'my boyfriend ' in every language she speaks when she talks about Sam with Monika and kisses Sam at least once in front of Monika whenever they happen to cross paths.
It's like Monika staking her claim, and Sam is endlessly flattered and amused. He likes it. He adores his Monika; he loves his Monika so much, even more. ---- Sam finds his Monika possessiveness over Sam amusing and hilarious at first. His classmate Jack is.. Monika is complicated. He enjoys ruffling Jack's feathers for some reason, a sign that he likes Jack despite them not seeing eye to eye and always bickering. That one point in time is the only time when they're in the infirmary because it's Sam, for once, who's injured. Monika slipped while rushing down the steps to get to him, and they both fell because Sam was taken by surprise. His forearm took the brunt of the force and kissed the ground. Both of them look really stupid; some people even laugh because of their clumsiness. Jack rolled his eyes in frustration and helped them.

Monika frowns but doesn't protest; she just tugs Sam toward the many chairs in front of the doctor's desk. Jack is not treating Sam because , according to him, Monika looks like he's going to boil him alive if he steps closer to Sam. He says, "You've been dating for many years; you should be over this honeymoon phase by now. This is so stupid ; who fell like that?" How old are you?" Sam commends him for holding back for five whole years.
But at the back of his head, he wonders why Jack suddenly bothered , wonders what's wrong for Jack to comment on their intimacy in front of him when he's always been okay with it, and sometimes even encourages it with his teasing. Jack is a complicated man, but he's constant and stable; he doesn't just suddenly have a change of heart.
"Never," Monika replies, looking up from the wound across Sam's forearm long enough to glare at Jack." Get yourself a lover if you're jealous of us." "Don't be haughty with me, young miss," Jack warns, his smile all teeth, "or I'm going to kick you both out." "Don't be mean to me and my mate!" Jack rolls his eyes so hard.
