---- 49. LUCAS "Are you sure about this?" I turned away from the window and frowned at Nate. Why wasn't he with Angel and Mason? I expected them to put their plan into action. After the letter we received this morning, I wasn't going to try and stop them. "You know once we make this announcement, we are going to face a lot more problems." Pursing my lips, I turned back to the window. My eyes darted around, searching for signs of danger, but found none. Everything looked normal.

"Have you bonded her yet?" I asked Nate. He was silent for a few seconds. "Not yet. Mason was busy bonding her when I left." "Good," I muttered. "A fresh bond mark won't allow anyone to doubt us. Make sure she wears something that-" "That reveals the marks clearly. I know," Nate interrupted. Nate sighed loudly and then moved closer . "Are you mad at us for wanting to bond her?" "No." "Could have fooled me," he growled . "What's your problem, brother? You knew from the beginning that she belonged to all three of us. Mason stated claim first and he should have been the one to bond her first." Spinning around, I glared at him. "Don't you think I know that?" I hissed. "I tried to keep my distance from her. When I saw those bastards ..." I growled. " The beast took control." "And you let him," Nate muttered.

"You didn't even try to fight him." I frowned at Nate. There was no way I could lie to his face. But I didn't know what he wanted me to say. I had tried my best to stay away from her, but the pull was too strong. She was mine. Even after I told her that I didn't want the risk of her getting pregnant and the people hating my kids. Our kids. But if Angel was bonded to all of us, and she got pregnant , it wouldn't be a problem. We would all be raising the kids together as a family.
