He took her to safety." "Where?" Xavier shook his head. "I don't know. He didn't say. He told me to follow Lucas's orders as if I was still protecting your mate. Sutton sent men to grab her. They knew exactly where to look for her." His words slowly sank in. None of the palace staff knew where the safe room was. There were a few around the castle but the one in Lucas's office was the closest. It was obvious that they knew we would send Angel to that room.

The only people who knew about the safe rooms were the royal ---- couple and family members. "T tried to take them out, but they took off the moment they realized that she wasn't here." "when did he take her?" Xavier hesitated . "Last night, a few minutes before the first enemy was spotted." I snarled, jerking to my feet to start pacing. He knew that we were going to be attacked. I wasn't sure whether Father could be trusted or if he worked with Mother.

Just thinking about her made fury fill me. Snarling, I spun around and hurried towards the basement where all the prisoners were being locked up. My steps faltered when I neared the entrance. The smell of death was hard to miss and so were the two dead bodies on the floor by the door. I hurried inside, not really surprised to find the cell where Mother was locked in empty. Throwing back my head, I roared. Mother or not, it was time to end things before she actually managed to hurt Angel.

Ispun, almost bumping into Xavier. "How long ago did this happen?" I questioned him. ---- "A few hours ," he answered. "I'm uncertain since I lost consciousness after I was stabbed." "Put an alert out for Dorothy," I growled. "They wouldn't have made it far. I need to inform my brothers of this." Xavier nodded and then hurried away. I glanced at the cell once more before I spun around and stormed out of the basement.

Our first priority would be to find out where Father took Angel and if she was really safe. I fear that he might be working with Mother to destroy us. She was his mate. Father loved her and I knew that he would do anything she wanted.
