---- 59. ANGEL Excitement filled me as Nate carried me over to the basin. He grabbed a clean towel from the cabinet, dried my body, and then wrapped it around me. Another towel was used to dry my hair as much as he could. He surprised me by opening the drawer and pulling out a hairdryer. "Where did that come from?" "Lucas ordered you a few things." "oh." He plugged it in and without saying a word, he started blow-drying my hair.
When he was done, he reached for the brush and started brushing out the tangles. My mother was the only one who ever combed my hair and that had only been up until I could do it on my own. My eyes fluttered closed as my body relaxed and my mind blanked. It felt good being taken care of, but I didn't want to get too used to it. Nothing good ever came from attachments. I opened my eyes and blinked at our reflection in the mirror. ---- Nate was a lot taller than me.
The top of my head barely touched his shoulders. He was fit, tall, and muscular, 9and every woman's dream. Yet, I was the lucky one who got him all for myself. A thought hit. "Do you have harems?" I blurted before I could stop myself. Nate froze. "What?" He slowly raised his head. Our eyes locked in the mirror. "Do you have harems?" I repeated. "I know in some cultures men are allowed to have more than one wife. Do you have more than one mate?" His eyes widened and then narrowed.

"We only have one mate," he said softly. "It was a bit of a surprise to find out that my brothers and I share one." My eyes dropped to Lucas's mark and then over to my other shoulder where Mason had marked me. There was only a bite mark that was just starting to heal. "Why didn't I get a dragon like I did when Lucas marked me?" Nate said nothing. Placing the brush down, he braided my hair and then gripped my hips. His eyes locked on the mark of his ---- brothers.
Reaching up, he brushed his fingertips against Lucas's mark. The blue dragon moved down my arm, revealing Lucas's bite on my shoulder. It was completely healed. Nate's fingertips brushed over the bite mark for a few seconds and then disappeared. The moment he pulled his hand away, the dragon moved up my arm again and settled on my shoulder, covering the mark. I shivered when he touched Mason's mark. It was still alittle tender to the touch, but it didn't really hurt.
He frowned as his hand dropped back to my hip. "When you were injured ..." He paused. "Lucas was hurt as well. He pressed his body to yours, wound to wound. And you woke up with that." "So, we shared ...blood." Saying it out loud made me feel kind of sick. Mixing blood was never a good idea, it could lead to all kinds of infections. On Earth at least. My men weren't exactly human. My men... They belonged to me, didn't they? They were mine and I was theirs. "T want to mark you too," I muttered, brows dripping down into a frown.
