My eyes darted to the right where their parents stood. I tensed when their mother's eyes locked with mine. They narrowed . If looks could kill. It was hard for me to pull my eyes away from hers, but I finally managed. "No matter what happens, no matter what they say. You keep your head up. If you can't focus on the people, stare at the back wall so it appears like you're looking at them." I repeated Mason's words in my head as the silence continued to stretch on.

"On another note," Nate said after clearing his throat. "You are all aware of the portals appearing around town. The portals are dangerous as you already know.

We are working on figuring things out and in the meantime , we would like you to warn your families and friends to stay away from it and not attempt to enter it." "Do you have any idea what or who is creating the portals, Your Highness?" a man called out. "Unfortunately, not yet, but I promise you that we are using all our resources to figure things out." A few more questions were asked and answered before it fell silent again. When nothing else was said, Lucas dismissed them. They all gave a slight bow and then started exiting the room.
